Bilingual Wedding Officiant – English & Spanish – Alfredo Hernandez
Born and raised in Mexico, Alfredo relocated to the U.S. at age 23 as an international student. He came to know Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior during a life-changing youth retreat in Monterrey, Mexico in 2004. Since then, he has devoted much of his life to serving others through ministry and leadership.
Alfredo served for over a decade at Calvario, a Hispanic urban church, primarily as a pastoral assistant. It was there that he began officiating weddings—something he considers both a sacred honor and a joyful calling. Prior to that, he also served as a Spanish interpreter for Calvary Community Church for two years. He holds a Master of Ministry in Christian Studies from Phoenix Seminary (Class of 2024) and completed the 18-month DVULI Leadership Program, where he also served as a City Coordinator (2025). He currently works as a Development Officer at Phoenix College.
Alfredo has been married to his beloved wife, Clarissa, for 20 years. Together, they attend the CCV Verrado campus in Buckeye, Arizona, where Alfredo interprets weekly services into Spanish. They share their home—and hearts—with their two dogs, Nico and Nala.
When he’s not serving his community or family, Alfredo enjoys hiking, nature, travel, long walks, and photography.
